MAFEREFUN OMIO YEMAYA!

Yemaya, Yoruba Goddess of Motherhood, Women, Children an the Family, has a designated Feast Day on September 7th.

We will be setting an altar for Yemaya, also known as Yemoja and Iemanja in Brazil, during our open house on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Our festivities begin at 6 pm to 9 pm and those of you who are in Northern and North Central California may stop by for music, singing and refreshments.

Directions will be sent out again on Sunday, August 5th and again on Monday, August 6th.

For our far away friends, you may order a tealight candle to ask for blessings in the coming year or to give thanks for family blessings you have received in the past year. your name will be placed on a general petition sheet and placed on the altar. Each candle costs $1.00. All profits will go to a local charity that feeds the homeless in Sacramento, CA.
